London Fashion Week SS27 ran from 17 to 21 September 2026, with 47 catwalk shows and 23 presentations across the capital. It was a season built on contradiction: underdone glamour, reworked archives and colours that refused to whisper. From Roksanda’s fringe on the National Theatre roof garden to Mithridate’s scarlet tulle, these are the six trends that held our gaze, and the independent designer pieces at MIXMVSE London that let you wear them now, long before Spring/Summer 2027 reaches the shops.

The six London Fashion Week SS27 trends at a glance

  1. Fringe in motion, as seen at Roksanda
  2. White romance and softened corsetry, as seen at Harris Reed
  3. Tailoring, reworked, as seen at SRVC
  4. Maximalist stripes and acid green, as seen at Chopova Lowena
  5. Lilac and window-pane checks, as seen at Argo Studio
  6. Scarlet that refuses to whisper, as seen at Mithridate

1. Fringe in Motion: Roksanda

Roksanda SS27 at London Fashion Week: model in a textured black column dress with pink and ivory fringe and long black leather gloves

Roksanda showed on the roof garden of the National Theatre, with a collection shaped by the braided, knotted rope sculptures of textile artist Françoise Grossen. Loose threads and shaggy fringing spilled over the tailoring, and the palette pushed beyond the house’s familiar black, ivory and chocolate into lime, turquoise, yellow and hot pink.

The look we chose says everything: a textured black column dress trailing pink-and-ivory fringe, finished with long black gloves. Fringe ran through the whole week, from Labrum to Mithridate, and the message is movement. A fringed piece does the work of an entire outfit, so keep everything around it sleek and let it swing.

How to wear it now: pair a fringed skirt with a fine knit and a long leather glove for evening, or anchor it with flat loafers by day.

2. White Romance and Softened Corsetry: Harris Reed

Harris Reed SS27 at London Fashion Week: models in white and ivory corseted gowns, satin tailoring and a sculptural crinoline

Harris Reed staged a salon-style show at the Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge, his first collection since leaving Nina Ricci. The palette was almost entirely white. Sculpted bodices, exaggerated shoulders and his signature cage crinolines sat alongside sheer organza and fluid gowns, so the corsetry felt softer and more romantic than before.

White was one of the defining statements of SS27 in London: not a safe choice, but a way to put every seam and fold on show. Corsetry, meanwhile, has moved firmly out of the lingerie drawer and into daywear.

How to wear it now: treat the corset as a top. Wear it over a crisp white shirt, or with a fluid maxi skirt for evening.

3. Tailoring, Reworked: SRVC

SRVC SS27 presentation at London Fashion Week: relaxed black pinstripe suit and black cut-out knit dress with white socks and loafers in a flower market

SRVC, the London womenswear label founded by Masha Adonyeva in 2021, presented its tenth season in a setting styled as a flower market. The two looks we picked sum up its approach to reworking wardrobe essentials: a relaxed black pinstripe suit worn with loafers, and a knitted cut-out dress over a white collared tee, finished with white socks.

This is tailoring for real life: polished but never stiff. The same energy ran across the week, with pinstripe shorts and oversized shirting also appearing at Mithridate.

How to wear it now: break up the suit. Wear pinstripe trousers with a soft silk shirt, or a sharp blazer over knitwear, then add white socks and loafers.

4. Maximalist Stripes and Acid Green: Chopova Lowena

Chopova Lowena SS27 on a bowling-alley runway: green and grey striped look with a red crown, carrying a small dog in an acid-green inflatable coat

Chopova Lowena returned to the London schedule with Lucky Spirit Lost Strike, a show staged in a bowling alley. Designers Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena-Irons drew on Slavic folklore, from Baba Yaga to the goddess Morana, filtered through their signature blend of folk craft and feminine punk.

The styling was gloriously too much: wide stripes, layered hosiery, crowns and charms, and a tiny dog carried down the lane in an acid-green inflatable coat, arguably the most surreal moment of the week. Bold stripes and jolts of acid green appeared far beyond this one show, making them two of the season’s clearest signals.

How to wear it now: clash with intent. Choose one stripe, one bright and one texture. Stripes at the leg are the easiest place to start.

5. Lilac and Window-Pane Checks: Argo Studio

Argo Studio SS27 at London Fashion Week: lilac crinkled dress with tulle skirt beside a white wrap top with lilac window-pane check

Our Argo Studio pick is the softest image in the carousel and one of the most wearable: a crinkled lilac dress with a tulle skirt beside a white wrap top traced with a lilac window-pane check, finished with violet lips. Argo Studio was also among the labels that brought fringing to the week.

Checks and ginghams were everywhere in London this season, from Christopher Kane’s debut at Mulberry to Burberry, while lilac softened collections such as Joyce Bao’s. Together they make a spring palette that feels fresh without trying too hard.

How to wear it now: go tonal. Layer lilac on lilac, then break it with a single check.

6. Scarlet That Refuses to Whisper: Mithridate

Mithridate SS27 at London Fashion Week: rugby-stripe top with a white textured skirt, and a red boned midi dress with a layered tulle hem

Mithridate opened the season on 17 September with creative director Daniel Fletcher’s take on London’s New Romantics and the Blitz Club era. His signature rugby stripes met Victorian military tailoring, tutus and corsetry with exposed suspender clips, in a palette that daringly paired hot pink with scarlet.

The red boned midi dress in our carousel, with its sculpted bodice and layered tulle hem, was one of the standout pieces of the week. Red this season is a power colour, worn without apology.

How to wear it now: go head-to-toe red, or set a single red piece against navy and stripes.
